Ok, I personally didn’t like this. Basically I was looking to get a replacement for the Dragonpad pop filter. (I already have the Dragonpad) but I figured this purchase was a low-risk option. It was inexpensive and the reviews were glowing. It’s about 4.5 stars. Here’s the deal. It’s a pop-filter and it gets the job done but the Dragonpad does it better. And the Dragonpad is about the same price. Here’s how you can test it. I actually have both. I did audio with the Mudder and then I did it with the Dragonpad. The Dragonpad blocks out more of the pops. But an easier way to tell. Just hold it to your face and blow into it and put your other hand behind the other side to see how much wind goes through. The Dragonpad blocks almost 2 times as much.

But as mentioned..because it was so cheap, I have no buyer’s remorse. I just wouldn’t buy it or recommend it. That’s all. Oh, and I tried using both at the same time just for fun and the audio quality suffered. So just ended up putting the mudder to the side. I’m wondering whether it would have another functional use or whether I should just toss it. Heck, I can’t even sell this thing because it’s so dirt cheap.

As others have pointed out, this is a well designed pop filter. It’s somewhat infuriating to use on smaller devises like the Apogee MiC because the hook for the elastic bands are either not designed to be used for small microphones or just poorly designed so the bands are very likely to pop out unless you’re very careful and you hold the hooks.

That said after a simple test the amount of plossive reduction doesn’t match that of

. As others also pointed out it’s clearly because even with two layers, the mesh on the Mudder’s filters is too widely spaced and therefore lets too much wind through. So if you use a cheaper condenser microphone which requires you to get up close because you can’t push the gain too much, I can’t recommend getting this.

It works. it’s very inexpensive. How can you go wrong? The elastic bands let you attach it to many different microphones. I’ve used it on large condensers and smaller mics as well. Extra hooks on the plastic frame of this pop filter allow you to place longer elastic bands or even rubber bands in order to make it fit almost any mic.The thing I like is that it wraps around the mic to give better reduction of plosives, even from the side, yet it’s not in your face like a big round pop filter.

It’s cheap (price-wise), and it’s good quality for what it is. Wayyyyy better than the ugly round/flexy/bulky filter I had previously. This alone cleans up your mic/desk setup, and works just as good, if not better. Just buy it.

This is an excellent pop filter with a design that's a bit different than your average pop filter. It comes with several rubber bands and is well suited to attach and easily remove from a condenser microphone. (I'm not sure how well it would fit on a dynamic microphone that isn't shaped like your typical condenser cylinder.)

It's a good, strong material, and is a steal for the price. I'd recommend having a few of these around your studio!

PERFECT fit on the Samson G Track Pro! Looks like it came with it! Price is amazing considering what a “name brand” pop filter goes for. Most importantly, it really does work for those “peter piper picked a peck of pickled peppers”

Much better that my bigger, gooseneck pop filter!

I have a very small little recording space for VO and my old filter was too large and cumbersome for my setup. This seems to work great. Fits perfectly on my studio mic without wayward swinging about.

I did think it was perhaps two layers of mesh, based on some language in the description, but it's only one layer. I imagine a second layer could be rigged if necessary.

A great addition to a pro recording set-up.

I bought this for my Razer Seiren and it fits perfect. It does a good job of cutting out voice pops and the wind from my ceiling fan. It was easy to mount it to the microphone, no issues encountered.

Overall, it does what it's advertised to do and it does it well.
