It arrived on time, but there is a rattling noise inside, like something came loose because a D-Bag delivery driver dropped my mic. Besides that, sound is weird and it feels like cheap aluminum as opposed to metal. I got both PCM 100 AND 200. And the 100 is waaaaay better built than whatever mediocre version of the 200 they sent me 🙄

If you're looking for a nice retro styled mic of yesterday but don't want to pay the high price of a Shure 55, than this mic is for you.

This is a high quality mic that is very solidly built. Fit and finish are excellent. And most importantly, the sound quality is excellent. In fact, I'm amazed at just how good this thing sounds considering the inexpensive price. It has a nice crisp, clear and open sound. IMO, it rivals the Shure 55. This mic doesn't have the bright chrome finish like the Shure, rather a silver/grey matte finish, but I like it better.

I use this mic at my karaoke shows, in addition to my wireless mics, and it's always a big hit with customers.

So, if you want the look, the sound, and the quality, all for an unbelievably low price, than this is the mic for you.

I'm using this mic to busk on a vintage blues/trad jazz and swing set with a 5 watt battery powered, Vox amp. The sound, look and feel is great. I've had no issues with reliability. It's been a great complement to the music and the vintage archtops I play. I've had no issues with weird feedback or sounds from it.

I have a similar Shure vintage mic- the sound of the vintage mic is better, but not by much, and this is an excellent and affordable substitute for someone wanting a vintage mic. I like using it when I don't want to risk my vintage Shure mic, it seems very durable and has held up well to heavy use.

The finish is more of a matte, powder-coated steel than a glossy chrome.

I would absolutely buy it again.

Looks:

If you want to have a great performing microphone with cool retro looks, this is it. The Nady has that Elvis look that many want and I have yet to meet someone who didn't compliment the looks of it.

The performance:
It is a very sensitive microphone. It picks up highs, mid-ranges, and lows very well. It will pick up sounds to about 3 - 4 feet quite well, so if you are looking to play around with the inputs on your mixing board and you should be just fine. While it is sensitive, it is also durable. If you have someone get too loud, it will not pop, break, or cause any negative response. If anything, the microphone will show the flaws in that person's voice. I think that is high praise for a microphone in this price range.

Downsides:
1) Phantom power.
The actual description never mentions it requires it, so don't put yourself in my situation and miss that little tidbit. I ended up running quickly to Guitar Center to correct that issue as my favorite mixer doesn't offer that option. Amazon offers better options at a better price, so don't forget it.
2) On/Off.
It doesn't have a switch, so if you plan cut it from a mixing board you are fine. If you want to do this from the unit (live performances/DJ), then get an XLR male/female adapter with a cut switch.

Overall:
Great microphone that will get you noticed, either in person or in the studio. It really is an amazing little device.

I bought this more for its looks, for photographing musicians and singers with a vintage-looking prop, than for use on stage, though it serves both purposes for me. It typically costs as much to buy a non-working shell of a vintage microphone, on an auction site, that may or may not look good, so this was a no-brainer.

This is not a microphone for sound quality, though it sounds quite nice. The sound, is that of an inexpensive dynamic, true to its price range, and is warm and slightly colored, which works well for the classic pop tunes that you would expect to hear from this style of microphone.

I find that using it with a stand that has a weighted base that has good rubber feet, and then placing that on a rug, eliminates a good deal of the noise that it would normally pick up from the stage.

Quite simply, this mic is affordable fun, on stage, and in pictures. I plan to have fun with it!

This mic looks good and sounds good, the problems most reviewers have with it picking up ambient noise are related to it screwing directly onto the mic stand and not the cardioid pattern. If you can find a way to isolate the mic this problem is fixed. I manufactured an adapter, but you still can't tighten the threads all the way tight or sound transfers. The mic will not pick-up sounds it is not supposed to, which is the only complaint I have read from anyone. It probably would work a little better on a boom stand, but that detracts from the looks. Overall worth the money.
