First, despite what it says in the description, this is not a “dynamic” mic. It is a condenser mic. I just bought my second one, so now I have a pair for drum overheads or vibraphone, anything where you want to capture a stereo image. This mic sounds excellent on everything I have tried it on, even a guitar amp where I would generally use a dynamic like an SM-57. I think it’s a great bang for the buck and I recommend it highly.

Item took almost one month to arrive. However, when it did arrive, it was all in good condition and represented excellent value for money. I previously gave a one star review….because I was thinking that I would never see the mic…but then it arrived and I have to say: Well done. It even came with the Neumann Shock Mount, which I wasn’t expecting. A great mic, for a great price. Thank you. (I’d give it 5 stars if it hadn’t taken 4 weeks to arrive.)

Compared to other microphones we used this is amazing in terms of its pickup range and sound quality while recording.

The voice over community seems to have a love-hate relationship with this mic, but a few fellow voice over artists I am friends with said this was one of the best. I bit the bullet and bought it. Wow! So clear and pure! With this and my RE27, I’m good to go.

Take the Neumann TLM-103, throw in a quiet room and minimal processing and you get an absolutely pure and accurate sound. I thought about this purchase for a long time but the first time I used this mic I wished I had made the purchase a long time ago. Worth the hype and the price.

My PC is fine, but on two occasions it was not. After recording with this premium mic and exporting as a WAV file, I tried listening back through headphones. For a couple seconds there was that desired, pristine sound, but then the recording froze and my laptop started making a horrible noise that would not go away without me clicking either Shutdown or Restart.

I honestly believe that this happened because of the high quality, but anyway, there can hardly be any arguing against the sound of this mic.

I want to give it 4 stars just because something about it seems superfluous, like it doesn't need to be this good. =D In the end, I ask myself not whether the mic was worth the money, but whether my voice is worth the mic! The answer that comes back to me is that something several hundreds of dollars less would probably be good enough for me. Oh well. This is used by celebrities for a reason.
