The other singer in my band ordered me not to return it! And I agree: nice clean sound, great effects, easy to use. More than enough power to handle two monitors and two mains. The compression is a nice touch; very subtle but easy to use and effective. The built-in fan is kind of loud in a quiet room, but with a full band playing, no problem.

Really the best board for live sound reinforcement if the channels fit your needs. Great value. This replaced the same make and model of one purchased 14 year ago. Couldn't be happier.

I use this mixer for sound in my small church of 60 people, and it is perfect. Very sturdy, very well-built, and it sounds great. I was able to train several of our people how to use this thing, and they can do it with ease, having had little to no experience. I plan on using this as our primary mixer for years to come, even as we grow beyond our current numbers.

We don't have a band, and instead use instrument tracks played from a computer with our own vocalists singing over them. For this purpose, I really like the fact that some of the channels accept RCA stereo inputs. Occasionally, we incorporate some guitar as well. The EQ presets are all very good, and you can customize your own, which can be saved and recalled instantly. In order for my singing team to hear the mix while standing out of the field of the main speakers, I run a non-powered auxiliary output into an external power amp, and then into some floor monitors.

Definitely recommended.

I owned Carvin powered mixers for the past 20 years. Being a full time musician, I would get a good 3-4 years out of each one. They took a pounding. Since Carvin went out of business I had to look for a different option. So far, I'm impressed with the Yamaha. Frequency response is better on the low end than my Carvin although I do miss the other two built in Amps and the 6 monitor sends. Hopefully I get several years out of this. Seems to be built like a tank.

Out of the box, performed as advertised. First use was at an outdoor farm picnic with 150 or so people - ample power and flexibility to deal with a person group with an array of instrument and vocals. This is my 3rd Yamaha powered mixer, and all of them have done exactly what they were designed to do.
