very condensation in the front of mic, on the side of sound didn’t receive. but one thing difficult to change the channel

I’m impressed with the audio quality, the only reason I gave it 4 stars is the mic is plastic and I’m concerned about it’s durability.

I’ve been using Shure for a long time, never liked the SM58 so I bought a SM86 Condenser mike. It was “Better” but still, lacked a lot of punch for my particular vocal.
I had the occasion to test out an e935 and I was amazed how well it responded (even compared to the SM86) so I jumped ship and got this kit. Wireless, condenser, Sennheiser!
Oh. My. God!! It is so much better for my vocal, I can’t say how much everyone in the band is pleased (including me!)
Note: Mikes are highly susceptible to voice type. Some (Many) swears by Shure’s mikes as it fit theirs perfectly. My advice, try as many brand as you can!!! You can be surprised!!

What a amazing upgrade from my older ADJ UHF wireless mic. This Sennheiser xsw2-835a is just perfect for my type of DJ gigs. I couldn’t be happier with distance and sound quality. Battery life is also a huge improvement, the 2 AAs lasted the entire gig from sound check to last song send off.

Just what I needed, works great. Thank you

– If the battery dies it goes all static
– If you are close to the max distance, make sure you are on a quality channel or you will get pops and drop-outs on the default channel 1. know your wireless interference in the area and other mics or wireless in the range.
– handheld range (e825) is longer than the belt pack for distance

i have tried line 6 and another cheapish brand of digital wireless for electric guitar and got tired of constant interference issues and extremely limited range. This Sennheiser is incredible for range, sound quality and I get no interference what so ever. Should have bought this years ago, worth every penny. the instructions are not fantastic but it is easy to figure out without them or by using their website. i use it with fluence and seymore humbuckers and don’t need to tweak anything when switching guitars on the same transmitter.

I really appreciate the industrial design on the gen 2 systems. I picked a lavalier to compliment my DJ rig. I used my XSW1 with handheld on a mic stand and XS2 Lav on a groom for a wedding ceremony, I ran the lav at 0db gain and got a hot signal into my mixer. He sounded great and was able to roll the treble off a bit, turn mixer up and pick the bride up during their vows. It has a great omnidirectional pickup pattern.
I was not able to full use the included rack mount as the bolt pattern on the new racker and joinery piece is not compatible with gen 1 systems. I’ll rework the metal pieces to properly install everything. I do wish they offered a complimentary windscreen for the mic, not that I needed it but will have to source one now for future outdoor use.

I had been struggling with the purchase decision for this one. There are so many competing products out there; quite a few in the same price category. I was looking for a reliable, easy to set up system that ships with a microphone that doesn’t sound cheap. There were mixed reviews for all the options, from cheap no-name brands to the big names. And in the end it was indeed the name Sennheiser was what won me over ─ and I haven’t regretted my choice. This is by far the easiest setup I’ve ever had. I literally put the battery in, hooked up the receiver, switched on the microphone and I it worked, just like that. I didn’t even read the guide. That’s exactly what I was looking for as the last thing you want to do at an event is troubleshoot a cumbersome microphone system. Very happy with my choice!

I’m dj and mc I bought this back in November but I made the mistake of not testing this in a big venue I only tested in my garage with an small speaker a qsc k8 however it did sound normal at that moment very nice clear and crisp sound but I tried to use it last Saturday 03/07/2020 it was a disappointment this mic made a huge horrible signal interference through the speakers that I couldn’t used And obviously I can’t return it anymore so amazon told me to contact the manufacturer sennheiser so I will update the review depending on what they do to fix this.

Absolutely fantastic. Frequency response was far more than I expected! I had a different brand that was much cheaper, but it ate batteries – a new set every four hours. This system ran for 15 hours on the included Alkaline batteries and still showed strong battery life after 5 hours on rechargeable (Lithium Ion) batteries, but I was done for the day. With this system, it appears I won’t have to change batteries mid-day! I also love the flashing battery low indicator on the receiver.
UPDATE: I’ve been using this for a while now and it’s still flawless. I use Enerloop batteries (best brand I’ve found) and get 11 uninterrupted hours of use before needing to change batteries.

This lav set has its positives and negatives, overall decent but noise is an issue. The connection is very solid, I have yet to lose connection between the sender and receiver, which was something i had a major issue with with the Line 6 lav set. I have used sennheisers EW series many times, and the connection on these is as strong as those! no issues there.
Where I have found major issues is in the noise, it is very fuzzy. Thought maybe I had a dud but i have found this to be a problem in all 3 that I have. That being said, I have had some luck de-noising it, but it requires HEEEEAAAVVY denoising, and I’m rather concerned the problem is only going to get worse with time.
The other problem is the lack of headroom, which is something I’ve literally never had an issue with on lav mics. I’ve never had to use a pad on lavs but in this case, you absolutely need to have the -10 pad on. if you have it at 0, you will clip aggressively at a moderately normal/quiet talking level. Even at -10, laughs or shouts will peak. I have the volume on the receiver at 0 and it clips like crazy still, giving me terrible audio (note that this is not a problem with the zoom i use, as it clearly clips before going into the zoom). At -20 all is well, a little more control over clipping, but the noise level at -20 is absolutely terrible, like unusable. Thought this was an issue with my cables, swapped them out, still an issue. Tried recording directly into an audio interface rather than my zoom, still an issue. So i’m forced to keep it at -10 where the noise is still somewhat manageable, and i just have to deal with the occasional clips in post.
The lav packs are also made of plastic so I’m slightly concerned they may break if they get squished, that being said i cant really comment on it as ive made sure that hasnt happened yet. The Sennheiser EW lavs packs are made of metal and can take a pretty good beating, so who knows with these.
Great connection, the omni mic is fantastic, but waaaaaay too much noise, would not recommend. I would wait for the EW to go on sale and pick up those instead

I started using Sennheiser mics after being a long time and loyal user of the Share 58. For my vocals, these mics brought more presence and articulation. I decided to take a chance on this headphone mic. At first I wasn’t sure because it seemed like there was almost an added “reverb” (rather than a hollow sound) that threw me off. With a bit of tweaking, I ended up dialing in a really good sound, to where not only do I now “slightly” prefer this to my hand held, but it is so much better being able to walk out into the audience and interact..it brings a new dimension to the performances.
