But it doesn’t have the best sound quality and its battery doesn’t last as long as other similar products. Still, it’s a good option if you want a cheap wireless mic.

Took a few minutes to be up and running with this remote mic and my android phone. One star off because the little foam mic wind noise cover fell off and was lost the first day. I guess to be expected but it wouldn’t kill them to put some extras in the box.

Love it. Works very well and made my webinar, FB live events much better now that my voice doesn’t get lowered even I walk away from the microphone. It’s right on my chest now!

Overall a good product. Audio quality was good for it’s price and the wireless range was also pretty good, only problem that I had was that if I went out of range and came back again it didn’t pair up automatically but I had to restart the reciever to get it working again. Also the part that connects the lavalier to its clip is pretty low quality and gets loose pretty easily.

I have both the Lav and Headset versions of the XPD1. I teach classes for students with auditory impairments. This has been a great tool to add so that I can use Microsoft Translate to do live captioning when teaching.

    Pros:
    – Connection: These comenpaired to their receiver already. No need to follow any complicated pairing process, just plug into a USB port and turn on the belt pack.
    – Weight: I used to do church audio, and live sound for event venues. This system is lighter than many I used. Great for those who need to travel with this.
-Range: Great for classroom environments! I haven’t had any issues using this. Granted I’m also in rooms where the range is somewhat limited, and I keep the belt pack in line of sight to the receiver as much as I can.
    – Power source: 2 AA batteries. So easy! I buy batteries in bulk (Amazon Basic batteries for the win!), and always toss a pack or two in my travel bag. I don’t have to get any special batteries for this since it is such a common battery. I teach 8-9 hours each time I have a class, and can usually get through 1&1/2 sometimes 2 days of classes before needing to change batteries.

    Cons:
    – Mute option: Well, more like lack of mute. You have to turn the belt pack off and on instead of having a mute button.
    – Belt clip: The belt clip is very tight and stiff. To the point I undo and then thread my belt through the clip instead of pushing the clip onto my belt.
    – Connector: I wanted to upgrade the mic capsule, and found out there are very few places I could get a replacement capsule due to the connector.

Would I buy this again? Absolutely!

My issue isn’t so much with this device as much as it is with my laptop’s inability to work with it. I purchased this mic so that I might up my own volume while doing presentations. The intent was to push the sound out through laptop speakers, or a bluetooth speaker, just so my voice could reach the back of a room. While my laptop would indeed recognize the input, for some reason it would not come back out. So while the device worked, I was not able to use it. Tech support did work with me, but without success. Great idea, but useless to me…

I was wanting to use this with my social media videos, but there is a consistent delay that gets worse over time and it cuts parts of the audio.

I have an analog signal button mic that I purchased for a fraction of the price that fits my needs and budget.

Arrived in a box that was previously opened and transmitter/reciever previously paired. Microphone keeps cutting in and out which appears to be caused by a fractured wire. This was obviously a return that was resold without the involvement od quality control. Otherwise the unit is exactly what I need so hoping to get it replaced. This is thhe first time I have had to return a product to Amazon so will keep everyone posted on how amazon will deal with this.

I am a lecturer and purchased this system so I could record my lectures. I have been using a fixed microphone on the podium, but I wanted to be able to move about the stage. I tested the system in an empty auditorium so I could be sure that the quality was good from all over the stage. I was very pleased with the quality. But recordings made during my lectures when the room is full, have drop outs like you might get with a poor cell phone connection. This occurs even when I am only 20 feet or so from the USB. I suspect it is interference from all of the cell phones and laptops in the room. It uses the 2.4 GHz band, which is undoubtedly full of activity when there are a lot of connected devices. I was worried this might be the case before I made this purchase, and so am resigned to it. I can imagine that it works perfectly in different environments and in different applications where interference isn’t an issue.

I use this every day. It couldn’t get much easier or more effective.

The very first time I used it, I adjusted the gain as it says in the included instructions. From there on out, it’s just making sure that any PC you plug into has Windows sounds set to play it over the speakers. I have never run out of range. I have never had interference. I have been using it daily for two months and will soon need to change the battery. I have a soft voice but my students in the back don’t have any choice about being able to hear me easily. Never any feedback. I run the mic up high on my shirt right at collar level. The belt clip really grips well. I clip it to my pants pocket. More than enough cord. I tend to bash the tiny “rubber duckie” antenna from time to time, but it works just fine slightly bent.

I’ve really enjoyed using this microphone for work, sound quality si great for the price. Only downfall was the clip broke the first time I used it and the sponge cover doesn’t stay on. Neither of these is a deal breaker and I am considering buying another one for when I interview more than one person at a time.

I’ve tried many microphone options for recording live lectures (where I move around the classroom), and this is the best to date. It’s very lightweight, easy to set up, and the sound quality is great. Just plug it into the USB port on my computer, and it immediately appears as a sound source.

Two suggestions to ensure great sound quality: 1) Be careful to place the USB receiver in a location that has a clear, unobstructed path from wherever you’ll be broadcasting to avoid interference from other electronic devices. 2) Change the batteries often (I use rechargables) to ensure the transmitter has full power.

For the price of this, it should be better quality. It entirely cut out if the USB was not in direct line of sight of the receiver. I ended up using a different product, which was cheaper, came with a USB extender for better range, also to reduce interference, and had much better sound quality. It also did not cut out when I was facing away from it. This product could work fine for stationary setups – like giving a lecture while seated, where you are consistently in range and can keep the box in direct sight of the USB, but for getting up and walking around in any way, it is not ideal.
