I do not need effects or computer connectivity. This Mackie provides direct outputs which I route to my recording interface so I keep the digital recording interface in a separate box. The 4 aux-outs provide great control for monitor speakers. The LOW NOISE pre-amps are so durable and quiet you do not even know they are there. As it SHOULD be. No mystery hum. No buzz. I really like the LACK OF features I do not want. There is no USB connection but if you cant use it for multi-track recording and zero latency over-dubbing it’s useless anyway. I also do not need on-board effects. Musicians I know bring their sound with them. They just want the mixer to MIX. There are less expensive mixers, but I’ve been through several of them. I rack-mount my Mackie and am so glad they fit all this so nicely in a 19″ rack. Not huge, not tiny. It’s a bulls-eye for my needs.

I bought this Mackie to replace an older model in our radio station production room. It’s perfectly silent…no background static or noise. Compact. Very Nice.

Can’t even. This is a fantastic upgrade from anything using rotary volume controls. Obscenely low price too, since it was an amazon warehouse pick or something.
