Been using this headset for the past 15 years. So I’m on my 3rd one. I decided last time to go with Jabra, had the Talk 65. It looks the same as the Poly, on paper it seems slightly better, minus the UC support. However, it’s not even close to the Poly. The main issue was the volume, just too quiet, and other bugs which drove me mad. This Poly 5200 UC is worth every penny. Switches so well between PC and smartphone, its clear, noise cancelling is miles better than the Jabra Talk 65 too. Would highly recommend, and get it with the charging case, you won’t regret it.

I bought this headset last year. Just recently I had left the headset in bed. When I washed the sheets I had not noticed it. The headset went through a complete wash and subsequent electric dryer cycles. The power on the earbud had been left on. After the recovering from a complete dryer sequence, the headset appeared dead. However, when I started charging it (the dryer had gotten the water out), it appeared to be ok.
In summary, this earbud went through a complete washer/dryer sequence and survived. Many kudos. I am not recommending this approach to the cleaning of the headset. I am merely stating what happened. This resilience should be noted. The incident, hopefully, should never be repeated. 🙂 This earbud did not have its cover on its USB connector (it had been accidently ripped off), and there are is the magnetic charging connector open. I am quite pleased with the quality of this earbud, I have bought at least four. I always have two, so there is always one charging.

I love how lightweight and comfortable this is. I HATE ear pieces that insert into your ear, and while I prefer over ear pieces, they can become uncomfortable over a long period of time and block out too much sound in the outside world. This one has a wider aperture that rests gently in your ear so that you can hear clearly, but there is zero discomfort. The only downside of this lightness and comfort is that if I were to suddenly dip my head to the side, it MIGHT fall off. But as long as you aren’t too extreme/sudden in your movements, it will stay put. I could wear this for hours and hours and sometimes even forget I am wearing it. It has a long charge (about 6 hours) and charges up fast. Some people here have complained it is hard to open the charging port, but I have no idea what they are talking about it. You just press your fingernail down gently against the rubber edge and it comes right open. I also loved that this can connect to a computer too, and it can switch pretty easily between the two. The voice commands and gyro feature inside (that hangs up or picks up when you take it on/off) are very clever. The only complaint is that sometimes on some zoom/video conference services, when I switch to phone and them come back to the call, it says it is connected again and I have sound, but I cannot get the mic working again until I leave the video call and come back. Maybe that is me just pushing the technology too far haha. Or maybe I have to play with the settings some more. Overall though, def an awesome work tool that I am getting a TON of use out of.

I’ve been looking to replace the one I had that no longer held a charge. My colleague recommended it to me and I’m so glad she found it!!! I tried another headset but it was uncomfortable. Soooo happy with it. I highly recommend it.

I bought this headset because the Plantronics headset telephone (for landlines) was taken out of production. The sound quality of this headset is very very good and I am pleased with the way it works. However, because it is so small (it fits behind the ear), I have more difficulty charging this device than with any other device I have ever used. The port is hidden behind a tiny flap that must be held out of the way, and the fit is so tight it feels like forcing the cord in. This is not a phone for people who have any difficulty with their hands (or who don’t have a companion to do it for them). The solution is probably to use the optional case, but that is expensive. It also does not really hold the charge for very long, so it’s necessary to charge it often. I would give this 5 stars for sound and utility, but the charging procedure is a real drawback.

I have been working with a lightning adaptor into a Sony headset for some time when working in the office at my computer. I’m in IT support so being hands free is essential. The annoyances were:
1) the headset was inline in the cable so didn’t always face the right way.
2) The lightning adapter and the headset cable were a bit weak so broke one lightning cable already and I suspect I now had a loose connection in the headset cable
3) Walking around was a nightmare, the cable would snap on the height adjuster on my desk when I stood up, I’d get up forgetting it was on and drag my phone off the desk etc.
I did a bit of research and this headset tended to get very good reviews so I bit the bullet.
A) Its comfortable – It often feels a little loose and out of position but actually it never falls off and I can always hear clearly – I just need to get used to the fit and the fact it doesn’t insert in the ear canal which is good as they tend to irritate after a while.
B) The audio quality so far is perfect – It does have a slightly different sound to the phone itself but its sharp and clear and I never had problems hearing and people say I sound clear.
C) The software on my iphone is great- I can check for firmware updates, change the language (for voice prompts etc) and select whether I want music to play through the earpiece or not so it has some good controls.
D) The siri button is good – I can stop/start audio with a push, answer and disconnect or hold it to dial via Siri.
I have only used it for half a day so far but its been great. I just put it on my ear and turn it on and I can walk around and carry on with my day and not have to rush and find my phone and then my headset and plug it all in. I’d constantly say to people “Just a second while I plug in my headset” and hear them continuing to jabber on. Its light, comfortable and doesn’t irritate my ears at all and normal earbuds drive me crazy in a very short time.
So really the only caveat is I haven’t had it long enough to see how good the battery life is but its filling exactly the need I purchased it for. Time will tell as far as reliability goes.
I’ve given 5 stars on everything as it reports 5 hours of talk time and so far I’ve spoken for about 24 minutes on the charge it shipped with and the remaining time is reported as I would expect. Even on my worst days I think I’d struggle to talk for more than 2 hours total.
Ok – Been using it for quite a few days now so to update:
1 – Its VERY fast to connect. Power it on and its connected to my Iphone 12 Mini in a second and ready to use with no delay for Audio. My car stereo takes about 5 seconds to boot and connect and then once connected its another few seconds before the audio starts.
2 – I needed to play with the settings a little – Sometimes I’m with someone and a call comes in, normally I just hit the volume down button on my phone so it carries on ringing rather than actively rejecting the call – When I did this the other day the headset carried on talking in my ear and I ended up answering the call anyway – I realised it says “Answer or Ignore” and if I hit the headset button it answers or I can say answer – If I say ignore it rejects the call. You can turn that feature off in the app on the phone that controls the headset so I have to hit the button to answer so it won’t interpret me carrying on talking as a request to answer. This is another good feature of this headset – The app gives good control of options and firmware updates. Some headsets are a nightmare or even impossible to update the firmware, this one is a breeze.

Had it for half a year. Works well. It doesn’t get a whole lot of use, but it has been dependable when I do use it.
