The Audio-Technica AT2020USB+ condenser microphone is a remarkable choice for those seeking an exceptional recording experience. With a focus on simplicity and quality, this microphone is tailored for singers, podcasters, and creators looking to elevate their audio game without a steep learning curve.
At the core of its features is the condenser microphone itself, renowned for its studio-grade performance. The AT2020USB+ connects to your device effortlessly via USB, eliminating the need for complex setups or additional audio interfaces. It’s a true plug-and-play solution that streamlines the recording process.
One of its standout features is the cardioid polar pattern, ensuring that your recordings capture the intended sound source while effectively reducing background noise. This makes it ideal for vocals, single instrument recordings, and podcasting. The cardioid pattern is especially useful when you need to isolate your voice from ambient sounds.
To add convenience to your recording experience, the AT2020USB+ comes equipped with a built-in headphone jack. Real-time monitoring allows you to hear your recordings as they happen, enabling you to make necessary adjustments on the fly. This feature is especially valuable when recording vocals or podcasts, as it helps you achieve the best results with minimal hassle.
The microphone itself is built to last, with excellent shock mounting and a reliable pivoting stand mount. This durability ensures that your investment in the AT2020USB+ will serve you well for years to come. It’s a testament to Audio-Technica’s commitment to delivering quality audio equipment.
In the realm of pros, the AT2020USB+ boasts exceptional sound quality. The microphone captures audio with remarkable clarity and warmth, making it a fantastic choice for vocals and podcasting. Its budget-friendly price tag further adds to its appeal, offering impressive value for its cost. Moreover, the microphone’s ease of use and real-time monitoring capabilities are noteworthy advantages for both beginners and experienced users.
As for the cons, the microphone’s cardioid pattern, while excellent for isolating sound sources, may not be the most versatile choice for users looking to record multiple voices or instruments simultaneously. Additionally, it’s important to note that the AT2020USB+ exclusively offers USB connectivity, which may not suit advanced setups requiring XLR connections.
In conclusion, the Audio-Technica AT2020USB+ condenser microphone is a reliable and cost-effective option for those who prioritize sound quality and user-friendly features. If you’re a singer, podcaster, or content creator in search of a microphone that offers exceptional performance without the complexities of high-end equipment, the AT2020USB+ is an excellent choice that won’t disappoint.

You can see the quality in the manufacture of this excellent microphone. It is expensive but it is also professional and solid. I use it every day and it is dependable and sounds great.

I’m using this to record vlogs on my phone. I needed an adapter that divides microphones and headphones for the phone and gosh – the sound quality is amazing. I’ve gotten two other lav mics and they sounded like I was stuck in a can. This one is very true to the original sound and doesn’t need any EQ editing – which is exactly what I was looking for.
The one thing is that sometimes I can hear the static in some parts but I think it might be my cheap adapter. Just ordered a new one and hopefully that solves the problem.

I can’t find anything even remotely close to this lavalier. What I wanted was a small mic that I can attach to my car to record my runs, complete with a very loud exhaust system. I’ve tried a few lavalier mics on the market, but many of them have a very low SPL rating, meaning that recording loudness beyond a certain db level will just result in distortion; put it simply, the microphone would go deaf. Rode is a good choice but I needed a TRS jack to work with my GoPro, so the Sennheiser was my natural choice. At 130db SPL rating, it was able to record my vehicle’s sounds in a clarity and level that I can accept, though the actual fidelity of the audio left a bit to desire. That said, it’s a lavalier mic. For its size, it does a very good job based on my requirements. If I wanted any better, I’d probably have to settle for a larger mic or an external powered mic. If you want to record any super loud audio with a small mic, the ME2-II is an excellent choice.

Unless you are willing to spend a lot more money, this is one of the best lav mics around. This was delivered promptly (actually it came a day earlier than expected) . There isn’t much to not like.

Ok. I’m updating this review because I realized I needed to adjust the “sensitivity” setting from -30 to -33. I have always been able to trust the quality of and reliability of our Sennheiser mics. I’m glad to know I still can. Great mic. Great quality. Worth the money.

Bought two of these to replace my older ones that were giving audio issues. these had lasted 5 years, so can’t complain but out of the two new ones bought, one is now not working, Mmm! Looking to see if I’m still in warranty to replace. The other is fine.

Excellent sound from a tiny little mic. I have tried a bunch of lapel mics for some video shoots of radio remote broadcasts. This is the best mic I. have used. I’d still recommend picking up a shotgun mic to cover yourself but these mics have been used often since I bought them.

Solid mic, all around. You might want a wireless transceiver alongside your sound recorder, but honestly if you’re shooting documentary or interviews, this is a great mic.

Pas déçu par ce micro de grande qualité. Se branche facilement à mon Rode Wireless Go.

Mala experiencia.

While this product is on the pricier side of the entry-level lavalier mics it is definitely worth the money. Now I am using this with my H1 and had to buy an adapter but it was worth it, I have several other mics that were cheaper but I wish I had just gone with this one from the start.

I have been using my wireless system for years. This is the second time the mic needed replacing.
The problem is over time, the wire develops a short forcing you to replace a perfectly good mic.
I wish they would improve the design so that the cable going to the mic was replaceable.
