I’ve written a similarly glowing review on GLS guitar cords.

In short, I’ve been a working musician for 35+ years, and these inexpensive cables seem to work and sound as good as the boutique microphone cables an old bandmate used to fabricate for our band using expensive Mogami cable and Neutrik ends.

I started buying GLS guitar and mic cables about 4-5 years ago, and basically all the original ones I’ve bought are still in service — after surviving all the usual live-gig trauma of being repeatedly stepped on, sometimes being poorly-wrapped by that bandmate who WILL NOT learn how to properly wrap a cable, etc.

I’ve bought various lengths of guitar and mic cords for studio and live use, and they’ve all served me well.
A great buy on a great cable.

I use this cable to patch my amp into the house p.a. system and so far it works fine. The length of 25’ is perfect for most stages in play on

Any concerns I had about durability and quality were answered the first time I used it. My daughter decided to pretend the mic cord laying on the floor was a tightrope…and she walked along it until she got so close she pulled the mic out of my hand. There was no change in the sound (you know…until the mic hit the floor) and the cord still works perfectly.
Given the low price, I was concerned that this might be one of those “lay a guitar neck across it and it’ll break” cords…but it’s actually of better quality than a lot of more expensive cords I’ve used.

I’ve used this with dynamic mics (for acoustic guitars, drums, etc.) and condensers (for singing) and it works equally well with both types.

I’m very satisfied with this cord and have already recommended it to other artists.

The materials and build quality are excellent. Its outer shell is a soft rubber-like material that’s very flexible and it handles well. The XLR connecters are well made and fit well.

If I was going to use it for a handheld mic I would want it to be thicker but for my use case it will be perfect.

Have not used it yet, as I bought it for the activity room of a nursing home I volunteer at on Thurs & Fri.
I did test the continuity of the terminals from end to end and it passed! The existing cable did not. now they can continue w/Karaoke & Bingo.Font know why facility hasn’t replaced already.

I am a film producer and I shoot quit a bit in areas that are challenging for audio capture. It is critical that I eliminate as many potential sound issues during production and that starts with choosing good gear. I recently purchased the GLS Audio 25 foot mic patch cable to pair with an Audio Technica AT 897 shotgun microphone. I shot a job the day after the cable came in. It was a two day shoot in multiple commercial and exterior locations. A lot of run and gun which means cables banging against the set . The cable performed flawlessly. There was 0 hum from any gear. I was using the same field mixer I always use and the noise floor was seriously reduced from what I am used to. I can only attribute this to the new cable as that was the only change I made. Even my preamps were happy as they never made a single, pop, hiss, or buzz. Must have been the well fitting XLR connectors. This is a great cable at a good price point. Very good value and I highly recommend it.

Spent as little more on these cables than I did on previous cables as the connectors broke too easily.
First impressions: The cable gauge seems fine for normal mic cable use – unwrap, lay out, plug in, step on it a bunch and deal with the occasional accidental light tug, re-coil (over/under to ensure long cable life) and toss in the cables box.
The connectors are definitely higher quality than the inexpensive cables I purchased before. They’re certainly not $100 cables with crazy beefy connectors that have 5 levels of protection from bending/yanking/abusing, but they’re more than sufficient for using in rehearsal and taking to a few local shows a month. Were I on a more than a month-long tour, I’d spend more for a higher-end cable, but this appears to cover all of my needs and should last a long time (so long as no one grabs the cable and tries to yank it out of a socket repeatedly…

Ordered 2 25 foot XLR Cables and 2 12 foot XLR cables from GLS Audio. The cables seem to be fine for my application and would’ve gotten 5 stars; however, one of the 25 foot cables was not only packaged differently, but had a different feel and texture to cord itself. Not sure what happened there as I ordered all NEW cables, the other 3 had identical packaging and feel. Minor gripe, just something to note. The cables do seem a little flimsy but transmit audio flawlessly, no complaints there. The connectors also seem like they will hold up. For the price, I feel like these are the best cables you can buy.

EDIT: After being contacted by Orange County Speakers I was promptly answered for my unusual cable that came different from the other 3. No questions asked, free shipping and free of charge. Best customer service I have ever dealt with. Worth every penny and I won’t be buying cables from ANYWHERE else. If I could give more than 5 stars for their customer service I would, the cables themselves are still very solid and have withstood the numerous gigs I’ve already done with them. Highly Recommend

After having purchased GLS Audio equipment in the past, I have learned to trust their quality and craftsmanship. This product did not disappoint. These cables are solid with great connectors. Sound is as expected. The value proposition is what makes it great. They provide this product at a price that is very comfortable to me and meets my needs. I recommend not only their cables but also their microphones. For every gig, I use a GLS Audio ES-58. (I’m sure you can guess which mic it is like.) When I use a Shure SM-58, my vocal is flatter. With this one, it is brighter which I love. Whether mic cables, mics or other products, I recommend GLS Audio.
