As a Songwriter/Musician (22 years), I’ve written, arranged and recorded over 200 songs. I’ve owned and used many great mics for my recordings, but was never truly satisfied with the final results as much as I’ve been with my M149. It’s a perfect example of, “you get what you pay for”.
I’ve used it mainly for my vocals but have also used it for my acoustic guitar and electric guitar cabs (which I would normally not do) and achieved great results in all applications. I primarily plug it into my Tube Tech MP 2A Tube Preamp, but it sounds great through any good non-tube pre amp as well.
