This is a very good product for the money, you get what you pay for. We got this for church service and it does a very good job for sound. I have found that the best quality is to use a 3 prong cord to plug into the Mic base and into the sound board instead of the short single prong cord that comes with it. You can buy the cord on Amazon for about $6. The sound with the 3 prong cord is very clear, crisp and loud, in comparison to the cord you get with it. Also, it may be better to get a little better head mic, but before you do that check out what comes with it, the Mic that comes with it seems to do a good job, it really depends on the person hearing it. So far I like the Mic that came with it. I have been a sound man for several years in church and I have no complaints about the Pyle pro. So if you’re looking for a decent Mic without breaking the bank, then get the Pyle pro and the 3 prong cord at the same time. The sound base takes the male end and most sound boards take the female end. I have the Pyle pro in my own personal recording studio and the Tascam900mkll for recording CDs and the quality is superb. My wife and I both teach classes and use the setup I mentioned for making CDs to send our correspondence students for the lectures. I can only speak for my wife and I and we are both very pleased with the Pyle pro system for what we need it for. It may be totally different for you, all I can say is try it out and if you like it, then great and if not then exchange it or get you’re money back.

The headset works well, but the lavalier mic is pretty useless. It doesn’t pick up from any distance, and holding it directly on your mouth kind of defeats the purpose of using it.

Ordered this a few months ago to replace an aging wireless mic system at our small church. We like that there are 2 headset mics with this system. We were also pleased that we could actually use both of them at the same time! We set one transmitter to Ch 1 and the other to Ch 2 and no interference! The only thing our Pastor wasn’t fond of was the headset mic. The part of the mic that comes down from the headset to the actual microphone, was too long. He also likes to move around a lot, and he found that the mic was moving around on him a lot causing it to go too close to his mouth and you could hear pops as he spoke and air went over the mic. We bought another mic and are now using that with the same transmitter as before. Great product and fit the needs for our church, our pastor uses one and one of the Deacons uses the other. Since the Deacon doesn’t move as much his mic doesnt move on him and it works well.

I have bought 4 of the same unit, so total of 4 lavalier mics, and 4 hand held mics. I bought them at different times. The first batch I bought 2 units a few years ago, 2 hand held mics still work and 1 of the lavalier mics work. From the new batch of 2 units all 4 mics kind of work but they cut out frequently, the distance is maybe 20-30 feet from the receiver, so I say they don’t really work. No one wants to hear a voice cutting out every minute or so. I’ve tried them in different parts of the building, but they still cut out. They are really unusable. Also I can’t use the new transmitters with the old receivers or vice versa. So I’m not sure if it is the transmitters, receivers or both that have the issue. The old units still work fine.

I bought this set for use with my small to mid size church’s PA system. I found them easy to set up, reliable, and the sound quality to be very good (we have only used the lapel mics so far). The batteries than came with them did not last very long, but so far the alkaline replacements have held up for a few weeks now of a full hour every Sunday.

There are individual gain controls on the receiver, plus an adjustment in the transmitter behind the battery door for initial setup adjustment (I did not need to change it). The transmitter’s power switch is ‘muted’ in its middle position and it is possible to accidentally go too far and turn it all the way off. But, I have not noted any noise turning it back on. Sensitivity is very good, and the mic connector does screw into the transmitter making it risk free for dumping it into your pocket. The wires on the mics are a little on the stiff side and had a pretty good memory of the bends from being folded up in the packaging.

I did not see it in the description, but a 1/4″ cable is supplied for connection to an amp. As noted above batteries were also included, but they are cheapo dry cells that are really only good for initial setup and first use. Good if you forgot to buy some and need to get it working.

In terms of range, they worked well even when about 60 or 70 feet away and through 2 walls. I have not tried to walk away until they stop working, but they are more than adequate for our normal 20-30 feet of our use and I have not experienced any interference or drop outs.

Construction of the receiver base is on a par with an inexpensive consumer electronics device, like a low end wifi router. It is just fine but definitely not a professional unit that would take getting banged around. If you will be breaking down your setup every night and throwing it in the back of your car, invest in a padded hard shell carry case.

    Overall, a big thumbs up.

Works perfect! Very easy to set up and clear sound once connected with studio music system. Recommended if you are teaching dance or exercise classes with music. The only problem is the plunging system is not UK socket so I had to purchase a separate adapter to connect the power cable.

Firstly you cannot expect a premium article at budget price. I needed an entry price unit for our small Synagogue. Having said that, I am more than pleased with the performance of this article. Sound quality, ease of use and connectivity are all very good. My only issue is the over ear mic is a bit “delicate” and loosens easily. Packing instructions does not inform user how to tighten. Initially, I was about to return the item thinking it was defective. I just happened to turn and tightened gently and it stayed in place. Very pleased with this item.

Had to return this – but only after incurring costs for bringing in a sound engineer to advise why first attempts to record (so after only two sessions since unpacking it) were unusable. Build quality shocking. Last straw was power plug broke when pulling it out! Before that we found that moving the receiver around we lost power connection and that the connection point had quite a bit of movement – also consistent with poor build quality. Whether the power input was the source of the main issue, unworkable noise to signal, I don’t know but we isolated the transmitter and/or receiver as source by checking the lapel mic direct in camera. It worked without interference but is itself poor quality – ok close to (but not directly in front of) the mouth but rubbish on a lapel.
Replaced it with LD Systems Eco 16 BPL Lavalier which is absolutely fine for our needs for professional podcasts and presentations. That clearly demonstrates the problem was with the Pyle and nothing to do with local interference. Advantage of the Pyle is it comes with two transmitters so good for interviews. That makes LD twice the price for two but there is no cost saving when the cheaper doesn’t work and incurs costs.
