At present I have a pair of KSM32’s and I dare say that they make the best overheads for the money. I’ve used them for drums, as well as acoustic guitar and vocals. A rather versatile microphone. You should have one or two in your mic locker!

Work in radio and we started using Shure KSM44 mics in all the announce positions a few years ago. They are absolutely great but cost about $1000. For my home studio I went with the KSM32. It sounds just as good and is half the price. I have done voice work at the station with the KSM44 and punched-in changes in the voice track at home with the KSM32 and cannot hear any difference. Both mics are great multi-purpose studio mics. Have used them to mic guitars, amps, as audience mics, overheads for drums, etc. If there is a difference between the 44 and the 32, it’s lost on me and I’ve used a lot of good mics. The KSM32 is a great condenser mic, especially for the price.

Fantastic mic overall. Use it on a cello for our church music team, very robust at full range, warm and full. Also used it as for live voice application and it excelled. Very much recommend.

This microphone is absolutely gorgeous, but the fact that Amazon could not give the answer to such a common question about this item is disconcerting; the epitome of the shortcomings that this market platform presents.

I would like to start out by answering an extremely common question that has yet to be answered by any buyers who received the item or Amazon themselves.

Yes, the champagne mic does indeed come with the carrying case, red velvet bag, swivel mount and shock mount.

Hey Amazon, how about getting some pictures posted of the accessories that come with the champagne version of the KSM32, I’m sure that “Shure” would appreciate it, as well as their customers. Maybe even writing it in the item details so that we know what we are buying? Would be great. More money for you, more assurance for us that when we click “buy”, we aren’t signing up for a return process.

I waited two months for an answer in regards to this, and just decided to go for it and see. Thankfully, I didn’t have to go through the return process. You’ve got enough people employed, how about assigning them the job of assuring that customers know what they are purchasing instead of the “dish out the cash, wait and find out” approach. It comes off as extremely lazy.

5 stars for the mic, 1 star for the service. Second time this year I’ve run into poor service from Amazon.

Okay, this is it. My first recording was over 50 years ago with a Shure 57. Still have one. Also have pro software recording and editing software. When you get a grand piano and guitars costing thousands, that old high school mic works, but… I simply couldn’t my believe my ears when I plugged this thing in listened with headphones. The sound produced from the Shure KSM32 better than real. Read that again. I have never heard anything so good in my studio as a studio composer. As an Amazon customer since 1999, this is only the second review I have been been compelled to articulate.
