Shure makes fantastic audio equipment. I have used many of their product in the past. I was looking for a mic I could use with my DJI Pocket 2, GoPro, computer and Ankerwork M650 wireless mics. With the Pocket 2 and it’s wireless mic, my computer and the GoPro Hero 11 Black with Media Mod the Shure works flawlessly and the sound quality. The Ankerwork M650 however requires an adapter for this to work properly with it, but I had one of those on hand and it sounds awesome with that setup as well. The build quality is top notch and I think it’s worth the extra money over some of the cheaper mics you might find. I bought a two pack of cheaper mics on Amazon a few years ago and this mic outperforms them in pretty much every way.

You might need to also get an extension for the cord, but it works great.

Great mic. Convenient carry pouch. Works great with the DJI wireless mic. I’m not sure if it is the shielding or what… but most lapel mics bring “noise” when paired with the DJI mic. This one works great.

This Shure MVL Lapel Mic worked perfectly with my TRRS-to-TRS adapter and GoPro Media Mod

I’ve used a variety of entry-level lavalier microphones under $100 and most of them seem to offer similar characteristics. The sound is usually boxy, flat, with some of the very cheap ones barely better than recording directly from using a mobile phone. This Shure lavalier is definitely one of the better ones I’ve tested. The sound is still a little boxy and usable directly, but my recommendation would be to fine tune your recording with some sort of EQ processing app afterwards to get the most out of it. Otherwise as is, the build quality feels nice, no interference using Rode Wireless Go or DJI Mic transmitters, and the recording quality is superior to cheaper alternatives. My preference in this range however still goes toward the Rode Wireless Go and Lavalier 2 microphones for a little more brightness.

Shure always makes a good product. I was pretty confident when I purchased it that it was going to sound good.Unfortunately, my time to test it was heavily delayed due to my wanting to use it with the Rode Wireless Go lavalier setup. It needed an adapter from TRS to TS, which cost me an additional 9 dollars to purchase and receive.Beyond that, it works as expected, I wish Shure would’ve included that in the packaging to begin with. My reason for 4 stars.

I bought this for use with the DJI Mic, and I’m mostly happy with it. Cable is just the right length, very flexible, and has a nicely sized small capsule with fitted foam cap. Accessory wise, it comes with a bag, and a single clip. That’s it. You can find cheaper kits with more accessories. I would have hoped for at least a spare foam cap, as those tend to get lost, regardless how careful you may be.
