Perfect for micing acoustic guitar on vocal mic stand. The arm swings up and down so distance varies either height; you can of course also slide whole unit up and down. A bit awkward but in the nature of things. My mic stand has very adjustable boom which makes adapting the whole configuration a bit easier for standing or sitting at different heights.

i can position an sm57 exactly where it needs to be for my guitar amp. if it’s a little off for your needs, a small gooseneck extender would put it where you need it to go. It is not going to clamp onto the small lip on the front of my actual amp, but i wouldn’t do that anyway. works great for me. very sturdy, and tightens down very securely.

Finally all music enthusiasts and performers who give performances sitting cross-legged should heave a sigh of relief – You now have the perfect sidemount boom stand! I noticed a situation where I had to have this boom attached to my microphone main stand which was a “PylePro PMKS40 Universal Microphone Stand with Height Adjustable” which I had purchased earlier. The main microphone stand was also a good, robust and resilient piece but it couldn’t be adjusted in height to suit the singer’s mouth level since both the singer and accompanists in this case sit cross-legged. Not just that – the 300 degrees rotational adjustability of this boom stand is unrivalled and helps you fine tune the level of the microphone to the optimal level for the best throughput. I don’t know what I would have done without this boom stand! I would recommend this boom stand over the traditionally available stands with lever-adjusted sidemounts, also due to one more advantage – this one will also not dent or flake the paint on your main microphone stand although it is mounted at various different positions on the main stand.

    As the creator of the

The Porta-Booth Pro – Your Recording Studio At Home and on the Road

I searched everywhere for a device like this. When you want to use a Porta-Booth product standing up and mounted on a microphone boom arm you need a “drop pipe” device to hang your microphone from. Other products I found were ridiculously expensive but this ‘mini-boom arm’ is the perfect size and the perfect price. On-Stage Stands makes this clamp on model (which a has a bit more flexibility) and a screw-on model and both are solid, stable, easily installed and adjusted and just perfect for my application and many other times when you need a simple way of attaching a microphone to a mic stand, I recommend this highly!

Use it for a harmonica bullet mic beside a sm58 for vocals.

Solid construction, performs as advertised. No complaints.

I have a couple of these, plus several On Stage mic stand extender arms. I am very satisfied with their products.

Space is at a premium, and I have no need to constantly move the mic around, so this is perfect. It holds my very heavy microphone in place solidly, and if I do need to adjust it, it’s not difficult at all. I was concerned it might not be long enough and I’d have to get an extension. Turns out, by the time I add in the shockmount, it’s perfect. I’d have had to spend 10-15x more for a boom arm sturdy enough to hold my heavy microphone, and it would have taken up a lot more space. This is an excellent tool, certainly for most home recording setups.

I have been using mine for a while now. I have used it attached to a microphone stand as well as attached to the side of my desk. It works well both ways and holds my Shure SM58 just fine. This piece of hardware is great if you don’t want a huge boom taking up space.
