This new mic replaces one that was dropped too many times; it decided it couldn’t take the continuous bruising and that it was going to shut down, and needed to be replaced – so that’s what I did – I bought a new one.
It’s an excellent basic wireless mic. Works great with my speaker system.

What can I say? Shure is a top brand for a reason. The channel scan feature is great to avoid interference. You can quickly sync the mic to the receiver using the infrared transmitter. The mute button doesn’t make any sort of audible pop. The soft-side carrying case is durable enough to keep things safe. It doesn’t come with an XLR cable, but if you pull the extra block of foam out of the section of the case that holds the power supply, you can easily carry a 3′ cable in there, too.

I ordered this mic for our pulpit for the Pastor to use mainly and the worship leader. We had an older sennheiser that just was cutting out a lot. It lasted 10 years though so no complaints! I know shure mics are reliable and have a good sound so I went with this one for a replacement. We have used it a couple of services and it sounds great! Very clear and crisp. It did cut out for a millisecond while our Pastor was preaching but I think he may have hit the button. He’s still getting used to holding this one. The sennheiser’s on/off switch was on the bottom and this one is a push button on the side. He’s very happy with the sound of it so that is what matters most to us. This mic was very simple to set up. A few minutes and I was done. Great instructions! Over all I think this was a great purchase and would definitely recommend.

I installed this as the wireless mic for a local library. The mic is sturdy like the SM58s I use elsewhere and replacing the batteries is easy enough for the non-technical people to do.
The new Shure way to pair mics (using Sync rather than setting the channel) – it worked and was easy even though that’s not how I usually setup my wireless mics (I am used to setting the channel manually).

Hice una comparación con un equipo similar pero con la cápsula SM58 y si se escucha el cambio, un sonido claro y brillante. A mi punto de vista si es mejor la cápsula SM86.
